What happened

Eddie Craven, a co-founder of Stake, says Engine will open its previously Stake-only game catalogue to the wider iGaming industry. In a post on X published on 15 September 2026, Craven said the move would give operators access to more games from more publishers and allow those publishers to reach audiences beyond Stake.

The announcement concerns Engine, the platform previously known as Stake Engine. Craven's post presents the change as a distribution expansion: games that were previously available only through Stake are now being offered to outside iGaming operators. The post does not name the first operators or provide a launch timetable.

Craven also reported that Engine had passed 1,000 unique publishers and 4,000 games built during the previous year. He attributed $24 billion in turnover to those games and said that more than $90 million had been paid to publishers.

What changes for operators and publishers

For operators, the proposed opening means another catalogue of games to consider alongside existing studio and aggregator deals. For publishers, it creates a route to audiences beyond Stake and a new potential distribution channel.

The announcement does not yet explain how the rollout will work in practice. It does not identify integration requirements, commercial terms, supported jurisdictions, certification standards, the first participating operators or the titles that will be available outside Stake.

The numbers remain company-reported

The 1,000-plus publisher count, 4,000-plus game count, $24 billion turnover figure and $90 million-plus payout figure come from Craven's X post. The post does not define the turnover calculation, reporting period beyond the past year, geographic scope or whether the game total includes titles at different stages of release.

CryptoCasinoReport therefore treats these figures as statements from Stake's leadership, not as independently audited industry data. The Engine video attached to this report is promotional material and adds no separate performance figures.

Before acting

What a player should check

  1. Do not assume that every Engine game will be available through every outside operator.
  2. Check the actual operator's current game list, terms, restricted-country rules and verification requirements.
  3. Treat the reported turnover and publisher payouts as company figures, not proof of game quality or player returns.
  4. A wider catalogue does not by itself confirm licensing coverage, fairness, RTP or withdrawal conditions for any operator.
